Firstly, we gather the information to design the best garden for you. This will be an informal chat about what you want and need from the garden, your likes and dislikes, the style and feel that you want to achieve. Any further questions will then be asked to form the whole picture for the designer.
At this stage you will be asked for an overall budget for the garden as this is important to know early in the design process in order to produce a suitable design.
We will send you an estimate for the design, with an online mood board using Pinterest to show some examples on the materials and plants suggested for your garden, this will be accessible to you to add or comment on any pictures to aid in the design process.
Once costs and time frame have been agreed we will survey the garden. If your garden is on a steep slope or has many levels we may use a specialist survey team to map the levels.
We will draw a first draft design including a 3D isometric drawing. this will be a scale plan drawing using the CAD program Vectorworks.
The design will be presented to you in a booklet with a written walkthrough of the garden and explanation of the thinking behind the design.
You will have the design to keep and digest, if there are any amendments to be made then these can be discussed and implemented.
Once the design has been accepted, we can produce construction detail drawings and look to begin the construction phase of the project. We will plan and monitor the construction of the garden working closely with the landscapers to maintain smooth and uninterrupted running of the entire project.
Once construction is underway planting plans can be produced and costed. The final stage is planting where the garden comes together.
Now you can enjoy it!
