Last month we dropped in on some past garden design and landscaping projects in Sussex. With the right level of attention and care from their owners the gardens are doing as anticipated – thriving and looking their best.
This allotment area and greenhouse was empty when we left. Now full of planting and vegetables – it’s bright and full of life.
Brickwork edged terrace and raised borders with no-mow grass and a woodland path.
Lovely to visit a garden that we designed two years ago. The client has added a great selection of tropical plants, that finishes the garden off perfectly.
The softness from the lawn against the brickwork detail and the bright textural leaves is a combination we think works well.
Whether in the shade or sunlight this gardens wood work and lawn looks great.
Wooden borders that are on both sides of the garden and offering seating, like this bench above.
Terrace area now surrounded by established planting – creating a relaxing spot to view the whole garden.
Brazilian slate paving in the evening light.
Prairie style planting in full bloom and filling the borders and adding layers to the garden.
Planting that is established and offering softness in contrast to the sandstone paths and composite decking.
The softness of the planting + lawn against the smooth sandstone paving – is a combo triumph.
Close-up of sandstone stepping stones and gravel with some planting.
